The Ikat isn't a new trend, but it's a favourite of many interior designers and more latterly, fashion houses. It's easy to see why as the possibilities to work it into any space is endless. The style is very distinctive due to the complex weaving process that delivers patterns ranging from basic circles, through to the more elaborate intricate paisleys. The pattern is then mixed with bold colours, or indeed other patterns, and that's when it really comes to life. It really showcases a style that blends a modern and exotic flair.
