Trend Alert: Herringbone

Herringbone Parquet Floors

Embarking on a new year always comes with the desire to refresh our interiors. If you're not sure where to start, there's one update that'll have maximum impact, whilst complementing existing décor; new flooring. Specifically Herringbone flooring. A trend-led design that never dates, adds interest and depth to every space, and gets better with time - it's no surprise it's set to be 2018's hottest flooring trend.

Herringbone Parquet wood flooring is nothing new, but in recent years has seen a huge resurgence due to its geometric fashion and statement nature. From super-modern hotels to kitchen cottages, period homes or contemporary offices, it enhances and embellishes interior designs, and works in every space.

With contemporary takes varying in size and colour, there's countless options with Herringbone. Our bespoke collection lets you choose the pattern, plank, and finish, ensuring the final piece is the focal point of your project.

This retro range is crafted in 12 universal colours, however we can work towards any palette and finish that you have in mind. For a twist on the classic layout, and one that's becoming increasingly popular, try adding interest by alternating colour planks. The colour palette gradient will weave a tactile tone and shade throughout your aesthetic.

Herringbone works particularly well with a border, either a single or double plank edge will frame the room beautifully. For the perfect final detail, customise your floor by choosing the sheen level of your finish. Ranging from gloss, to satin, to ultra-matte - the options are limitless with Herringbone.

Designers Tip: For extra Pinterest-worthy points, pair your Herringbone with an accent wall. It doesn't get more à la mode than the Pantone colour of the year: Ultra Violet. A shade that's synonymous with luxury will sit as the perfect contrast against the artisan texture of wood.

Our standard size in an engineered parquet block is 95mm x 600mm, but if you have a specific width or length in mind, get in touch with our sales team for a personal consultation.
