Wentworth Club
Home to three championship golf courses and renowned for its exceptional hospitality, Wentworth Club is one of England's most iconic private golf destinations. Eaton Square Flooring supplied more than 1,800m² of flooring throughout the clubhouse and hotel, delivering tailored flooring that combine outstanding performance with refined design.
The Relationship
Working alongside the interior designers at Thorpe Design, we helped bring a series of sophisticated interior schemes to life, creating flooring that complements the character of each space while meeting the practical demands of a busy hospitality environment. Every specification was developed to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding architecture, furnishings and finishes, creating a consistent sense of quality throughout the club.
Tailored Axminster Carpets
Axminster carpet was selected for many of the clubhouse's principal spaces thanks to its exceptional durability, rich appearance and virtually unlimited design possibilities. From the elegance of the Ballroom to the relaxed atmosphere of the Burma Bar and the luxurious Women's Locker Room, each area called for a distinctive flooring design while remaining part of a cohesive interior scheme.
In total, Eaton Square Flooring produced 13 individually designed Axminster carpets, each developed specifically for its location. The flexibility of woven Axminster construction allowed intricate patterns, balanced colour palettes and fine detailing to be incorporated with exceptional precision, giving every space its own identity.
A cleaner, more refined finish
Within the fine dining and private dining rooms, integrated woven borders were created to achieve the appearance of traditional body-and-border carpets without the need for additional joins. This approach delivered a cleaner, more refined finish while simplifying installation and preserving the integrity of the overall design.
Elsewhere, bespoke detailing was used to reinforce the wider interior concept. In the Women's Locker Room, for example, a brick-bond inspired pattern echoed the architectural rhythm of the ceiling, demonstrating how flooring can become an integral part of an interior rather than simply a finishing surface.
Manufactured using premium pre-dyed yarns and woven to exacting standards, every carpet was designed to retain its appearance while withstanding the demands of a high-traffic hospitality setting.
Luxury Hospitality Interiors
For the hotel accommodation, Eaton Square Flooring's Mulberry carpet collection was selected to provide a luxurious feel underfoot alongside the durability required for premium guest spaces. Its soft texture and understated palette of neutral tones complement the contemporary interiors, creating bedrooms that feel calm, elegant and welcoming.
Natural Wool Craftsmanship
Within the Club Lounge, a bespoke rug was created using our Woven Wilton collection. Crafted from 100% wool loop pile, it combines natural warmth and texture with exceptional resilience, making it ideally suited to one of the club's most prestigious social spaces.
The use of natural wool enhances both the visual character and long-term performance of the interior, offering a timeless flooring solution for an environment where quality is paramount.
