Tintagel House
Occupying a prominent position on London's Embankment, Tintagel House is a building with a remarkable past. Once serving as the Metropolitan Police's undercover headquarters, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a contemporary workspace by The Office Group (TOG), combining its architectural heritage with flexible, design-led interiors.
Having collaborated with TOG on numerous projects over the years, Eaton Square Flooring was proud to contribute to the transformation of this landmark 100,000 sq ft building, supplying bespoke wood flooring for key areas throughout the development.
A Collaborative Design Process
Working alongside Universal Design Studio, Eaton Square Flooring developed flooring that complemented the vision for the building while meeting the practical demands of a busy shared workspace.
Every material was selected to support the character of the interiors, balancing the warmth of natural timber with the durability required for spaces used throughout the day by members, visitors and guests.
Bespoke Oak for the Members' Bar
The members' bar called for something entirely unique. Working closely with the design team, Eaton Square Flooring produced bespoke engineered oak planks in a custom colour developed to match the project's specified Pantone precisely.
This bespoke approach ensured the flooring became an integral part of the interior scheme, complementing the carefully curated palette and material finishes throughout the space.
As one of the building's most frequently used social areas, the flooring also needed to withstand heavy foot traffic without compromising on appearance. Our bespoke engineered oak collection provided the flexibility to tailor both the finish and construction to the specific requirements of the project.
Natural Oak for Shared Spaces
Across the co-working areas, the focus shifted to creating bright, welcoming interiors that encourage collaboration while standing up to the demands of everyday use.
For these open-plan spaces, Eaton Square Flooring supplied wide plank rustic oak from the Connoisseur Collection in the shade Sea Salt. The natural tones of the timber bring warmth and texture to the contemporary interiors while helping define expansive working environments.
Engineered with a UV-cured hard wax oil finish, the flooring offers excellent durability and straightforward maintenance, making it ideally suited to high-traffic commercial settings where appearance and performance are equally important.
